Typically, a pack consists of several layers of different mesh structures. The best filter mesh may melt the smallest solid particles, with a coarse outer mesh being stronger and larger particles being prevented from entering the inner layer of the fine mesh prematurely.

To resist the force generated by the fluidity of the melt, a secret hole is set in the circular steel plate lining the filter screen, known as a splash guard, which is embedded at the end of the slot in the plastic recycling granulator barrel. To replace the screen lining, first remove the downstream equipment, replace the old screen plate with a clean mesh lining, and reinstall the production line. The method for screen plate assembly does not require screen plate replacement, downtime, or labor costs. According to its design, it is divided into two main types: interchangeable and continuous.

The system features two identical screen packs. One is installed on the path with relatively good melt fluidity. When the screen pack becomes dirty, it is replaced with another clean screen pack. Simultaneously, the old screen pack is removed for replacement. The two sets of steel plates, which have identical screen packs, rotate around the axis of the railway line, or slide along it. The former is manually operated by a lever, which is actuated by a hydraulic press to slide the screen plate back and forth from one side to the other. The other mechanism is a clean-operating valve that blocks the reverse flow of melt through the new screen pack.

Continuous net rotation will gradually shift to the new net plate, while the melt flow removes the old net plate. The moving speed of the replacement can be automatically adjusted based on impurities, pressure, and melting temperature. Continuous net rotation can eliminate the need for changing devices during intermittent operation.

A continuous series of screen changes is based on a rotating design utilizing skateboards. Several screen packs are arranged around the periphery of a ratchet wrench mechanical device driver. Rotate the turntable to remove the old screen pack from the melt stream, and place one hand on the new screen pack before it comes into contact with the melt stream.

Some equipment also utilizes long strips of mesh structure (typically 36 meters long). When the strip enters or exits the equipment at the site, a small amount of plastic-cooled, hardened polymer can prevent leakage. These devices employ an external hydraulic press to pull out the filter mesh. Another design utilizes pressure at the head without external force to filter out the material.
